Dr. Anthony Yeung is a board certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon and founder of the Desert Institute for Spine Care (DISC) in Phoenix, AZ.
He specializes in diagnosing and treating the causes of back pain and sciatica from painful degenerative conditions and his techniques have proven to be very effective in relieving both back and leg pain, elusive to many spine specialists. This is due to his technique that targets and visualizes the pain generator with his endoscope, using imaging as a guide, but confirming the pain source with diagnostic and therapeutic injections.
He is the first to use endoscopically-guided lasers and is the developer of the FDA approved Yeung Endoscopic Spine System (YESS™).
Dr. James J. Yue is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon at Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists specializing in spine, back and neck as well as trauma and fractures.
He was most recently co-chief of the orthopaedic spine surgery section at the Yale School of Medicine. He was also director of the ACGME Yale Spine Fellowship as well as the lead surgeon for motion-sparing as well as endoscopic spine surgery.
He has been the Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator on a number of FDA and non-FDA clinical trials for disc replacement, motion-sparing, and endoscopic spine surgery clinical trials.
He has published and presented over 100 scientific articles and abstracts and 2 major spinal surgery textbooks. He is also a journal reviewer for several international spine surgery journals.
Dr. Girish Datar is a practicing Endoscopic Spine Surgeon and Interventional Spine and Pain Management Specialist at the Center for Endoscopic Spine Surgery, as well as a practicing Paediatric Orthopedic Surgeon at Sushruta Hospital for Orthopedics & Traumatology in Mirajat, India.
Dr. Girish Datar has helped many people enjoy a pain-free, active life who had been suffering from low back pain and sciatica. In an effort to overcome the disadvantages of traditional surgical techniques, the scientific medical community began exploring the use of endoscopy (arthroscopy).
Dr. Girish Datar utilizes this unique methodology to identify the source of pain and effectively treat it by combining interventional pain practices and minimally invasive surgical techniques. As a Fellow of the Yeung Endoscopic Spine Surgery (YESS) technique taught by Dr. Anthony Yeung at Desert Institute for Spine Care (DISC) in Phoenix, Arizona, endoscopic spine surgery has been a great help to people who would otherwise have simply been left to exist with their pain and disability.

All officers are part of a group of endoscopic surgeons hand picked for their prominent participation in endoscopic spine meetings and their dedication to the advancement of endoscopic spine surgery.
They are all part of an elite group of 30 surgeons, and a few non-surgeons, who are lifetime members of IITS, who have demonstrated proficiency in endoscopic spine surgery and who follow the surgical principles of IITS, as we also include the translaminar-approach as part of endoscopic spine surgery.
